Professor Francisco Chinesta, professor at Arts et Métiers and director of ESI’s scientific department, was awarded the silver medal of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) during a ceremony on Thursday November 21, 2019 at the Arts and Culture.

Prof Laurent Champaney, President Arts et Métiers met with Peng Gang, Vice President of Tsinghua University during a recent visit to China.

On October 24th 2019, Arts et Métiers and Tongji University organised an international seminar at Tongji University to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the signature of a Cooperation Framework Agreement and a Master-level Double Diploma Program Agreement between the two institutions.

The Alumni Association of Arts et Métiers, in partnership with the school Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology, organized a world-class conference on the theme “Industry 4.0, Paradigm shift” in Shanghai in October 2019.

The 3rd workshop of the AM² Transatlantic partnership, jointly led by Texas A&M Engineering (TEES) and Arts et Métiers was held in Texas A&M University Campus, College Station, Texas, during Oct 16-18 2019, in presence of Mr Alexis Andres, Consul General of France in Houston. The workshop brought together industry partners of the AM² partnership, several members of the academia, the scientific counsellor at the French Consulate in Houston as well as the leaders of the AM² partnership initiative from TEES & Arts et Métiers.

More than 1000 students will be participating this year at the 45th annual « inter gadzarts » student  athletic union.  which will take place in Aix en Provence from May 30 to June 2, 2019.

During a visit organised by the French Mexican University House in Toulouse, Arts et Métiers welcomed a delegation from the University of Nuevo León, the University Counsellor at the Mexican Embassy in Paris as well as a representative from the French Mexican University house on the 20th February 2019.

Thomas Grosjean & Joan Roig, 2 engineering students from the Arts et Métiers Aix-en-Provence  campus will participate in the 6th edition of the  "Solar and Energy Boat Challenge" in Monaco from 2nd to 6th July 2019, which will bring together 26 student teams from around the world.

The Chalon-sur-Saône Institute, also called « Image Institute », is a major actor in the digital transition of companies in the region.  Partnerships with industry and the region will be reinforced thanks to the renovation of an historic old mill which will house the Virtual Reality  Innovation Pole.

Arts et Métiers and the Laval institute participated at the launch of  « La French Fab Tour » in January 2019, an innovative initiative to promote French industry to school children and students.
